Shopping on OZ Handmade

Shopping at OZ Handmade!

The stores on OZ Handmade are run by very creative individuals who have followed their passion to offer handmade creations made with love.
When you purchase from the stores on OZ you buy directly from the designer and therefore support them directly. OZ Handmade does not take commission from the store’s sales.
Once you have placed your order, the monies paid go directly to the store owners.
Most stores accept PayPal and direct deposit. The stores are notified of your purchase.
A receipt will be issued to you, at checkout and sent to your email address.
All questions about your order or the products listed on OzHandmade should be made to the stores in question and you can do that through the Contact Us page. Each store also handles its own after sale service, warranty and follow ups.



Payment options?

Oz Handmade is a collection of independent store owners
and therefore each store has its own payment options and these will be specified in the checkout screen.
Most stores accept PayPal and or Direct Deposit.
Payment is required within 24 hours.
Unless prior arrangement have been made with the store.
If payment is not received during this time then the order will usually be cancelled and the items re-listed for sale.
All prices are in Australian dollars.



Shipping costs?

Oz Handmade is a collection of independent stores
from across Australian and therefore shipping fees will vary.
Most stores have their postage listed in the description of their creation.
Or it can be obtained during the checkout process.
If you have any queries about the cost of postage please contact the stores directly.
Where possible I would urge you to pay the little bit extra for postage and choose to have your purchases delivered to you via Registered Post.
You cannot always rely on our postage system to deliver your purchases without the reassurances of Registered Post which can be traced.
Most of the stores on OZ do not cover lost purchases.

Shipping internationally?

If you require one of our stores amazing creations to be shipped internationally
then please contact the store directly through the “contact us� tab before purchasing.
The stores will be able to provide you with postage costs.

Delivery Times?

Most of our stores amazing creations are available for delivery immediately.
But some creations will take a little time to create for you to your requirements.
Custom-made orders may take a little bit longer.
Most stores will list the waiting time on products or will contact you directly to notify you of a time frame for your order.
If you are concerned about the wait time between payment and receiving your order then please contact the store directly via the “contact us� tab.
Please take into account that some stores are based in country/rural and even outback locations within Australia, so delivery times will be slower than their city sisters.

Return & Warranty policies?

Oz Handmade is a collection of independent stores
and therefore each has its own return & warranty policies.
Please refer to the Policies page for each stores returns and warranty details.
Oz Handmade does not offer a warranty over and beyond that of its stores.

Unhappy with my purchase?

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with a transaction.
Please contact the store you purchased from directly via their details in the page.
If in the event you are unhappy with the outcome, then please contact OZ Handmade via “customer service” tab via the Contact Us page and we will endeavour to help you with your concerns.



Selling on OZ Handmade

Becoming an Oz Handmade store owner is easy. Simply fill out the application form which can be located at the bottom of the home page and I will get back to you within 24-48 with your new store details.
If you are not sure if what you sell fit's into the Oz Handmade philosophy feel free to email us and we can discuss any questions you may have.



What are the advantages of operating my own store on OZ Handmade?

WOW Where to begin!

Operating a store on OZ Handmade gives you absolute control over all of your listings.
You can list as few or as many items as you like, in either previewing (non-purchasable), auction or fixed price format.
Stock quantities can be altered at any time, custom options can be added to each item (e.g. colour selection, adding features/trimmings), and you can access full sales reports for your store at any time.

The advantage to customers is that they can purchase items from any of the stores on OZ Handmade, and yet they only have to pay a single invoice regardless of the amount of stores they have purchased goods from in that session (the money automatically divides up and goes to the individual stores).

Lastly (and perhaps most importantly), OZ Handmade only charges a low, flat-rate monthly fee to host your store - there are NO LISTING CHARGES nor do I take a commission on your sold items!

Can I sell my goods on OZ Handmade without running a full store?

YES!
You can have a market store
A market store opens for 3 days per month at a lower rate than the normal monthly fee.
You can elect to have the store open to purchase from for 3 days or you can break that up to 1 day store preview and 2 days of sales.
The Market Store's are limited to times during the month of being open between the 10th and 21st of each month.
The beauty of having a market store is all items not sold are then held over until the next month and you can continue to upload photo's over the month.
Also there are no invoices to worry about OZ takes care of that for you.

What can't I sell on Oz Handmade?

Here is a list of the items you CANNOT sell on Oz Handmade
  • Mass Produced items
  • Anything of an illegal nature (drugs, weapons etc)
  • Pornography
  • livestock
  • Alcohol


I don’t have a logo!

Don’t worry at OZ Handmade we have an amazing WAHM that can work with you for a small fee,
to help you get the logo you love.
