What is inflammation?
There are several definitions of inflammation. One of the definitions that most of the medical scientists agree on is swelling as a result of immune response due to the invasion of foreign elements such as bacteria, fungi or viral incursion. Managing of Inflammation
Most of the cases of inflammation can be easily managed with the use of simple anti-inflammatory that can be bought over the counter in retail outlets or drug stores. However, in extreme conditions where the symptoms are severe, it is advisable to seek immediate medical attention. It is critical to note that inflammation if not properly managed can lead to chronic conditions such as ulcerative colitis, rheumatism, and psoriasis. Hence, the condition should not be taken lightly but properly managed.
It is important to note that there are lifesaving homemade remedies that can be used to administer first aid in case of inflammation. Most of these solutions are meant to let the patient be comfortable and relieve pain. One of the solutions that have been used for quite some time is pressing the inflamed part with ice-frozen cubes so as to avoid swelling of an injured part or clotting of the blood.
Use of pain balm made out of eucalyptus tree and menthol extracts is also recommended. Application of herbal regiments such as homemade garlic paste has also proved to be effective due to their both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
